A work in progress mock-up of a Pirate based adventure game for iPhone. I wanted to make the image as bright and clear as possible. I shall return to this one day to add items, play with the background etcetera, but for the mean time I am happy with the stage it is at.

Mr Bump

At the end of 2010 I worked on the iPhone game for the classic Mr Bump character. I created all animations and assets for the game, closely following the style of the original books.

Fan Challenge

Fan Challenge: The Official Football League Edition was a game created under license with Beautiful Game Studios, the guys behind Championship Manager.

I concepted and created multiple style boards for this game, which were examined and eventually chosen by BGS. From this I moved forward to create all in game assets required for the game. The game was designed to be skinned to fit your team of choice so making sure that the design of the interface would balance correctly with any teams colours was quite a challenge but one that proved worthwhile.

Digital Goldfish Brand

Shortly after joining Digital Goldfish in 2009 I was asked to freshen up the logo design.

For brand recognition reasons we decided to keep the iconic DG fish device and focus on making the container for this graphic softer and less corporate looking.

Bloons

Working at Digital Goldfish I have worked on numerous iterations of the Ninja Kiwi license Bloons.

When I first arrived I provided additional artwork for the iPhone version of Bloons TD, shortly after I worked on the PSP Minis version and then for the Christmas market I created Bloons Festive Fun

I have also worked on Hot Air Bloon and some to be announced games!

The Crystal Maze 2

The week after finishing University (and before I’d even had the chance to graduate!) I was approached by Dynamo Games asking if I could undertake a short contract for them to provide some additional artwork for their upcoming J2ME game, The Crystal Maze 2.

Honours

For my Honours project at Abertay I designed and built a prototype point of purchase for the sale of mobile phone games.

This consisted of an unit containing a flash file which allowed the user to browse a mock library of games which they could then in theory download to their device.

The interface was designed to be an isometric city which included different buildings, each representing a different genre of games. Selecting a particular genre would then take the user to the appropriate section of the library.

All of the artwork and programming was done by myself, with the audio track supplied by Martin Van Der Stighelen.
